IPMAT Rohtak — The Complete Guide

IPMAT Rohtak: The IIM route where your board marks count

Everything about IIM Rohtak's 5-year Integrated Programme in Management — pattern, eligibility, selection weights, timeline.

What is IPMAT Rohtak?

IIM Rohtak conducts its own IPM Aptitude Test (separate from IIM Indore's) for its 5-year IPM — a BBA + MBA dual-degree path straight after Class 12.

It offers 198 seats through a computer-based test. The same test also has an optional Legal Reasoning section for IIM Rohtak's Integrated Programme in Law.

Programme Duration 5 Years (BBA + MBA)

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How is IPMAT Rohtak different from IPMAT Indore?

A: Different exams by different IIMs. Rohtak has a Logical Reasoning section, all-MCQ format with no sectional time limits, and gives 30% weight to board marks. Indore has no LR section, strict sectional timing, and no board-marks weightage. Many students prepare for both.

Q: Do my board marks really matter?

A: Yes — 30% of your final merit score comes from Class 10 (10%) and Class 12 (20%) marks, calculated on your best five subjects.

Q: Is there negative marking?

A: Yes, −1 for every wrong answer in all three sections.

Q: Is there an age limit?

A: Yes — maximum 20 years as of June 30 of the admission year (25 for SC/ST).

Q: When should I start preparing?

A: Ideally 12–18 months out — and keep your board preparation serious in parallel, since it carries real weight here.

How Alpha prepares you for IPMAT Rohtak

THE FLOOR + THE REPS

Live classes and daily practice across Quant, LRDI and Verbal — LR is a full third of this exam, and it's a core Alpha strength, taught live by the founder.

THE LOOP + COMPASS

With no sectional time limits, your time-allocation strategy decides your score. Every mock ends in a plan, and your mentor helps you find your optimal section order and split.

PI LAB + PULSE

The interview is 15% of selection, and boards are 30% — PI Lab starts interview prep from month one, and monthly parent updates keep board preparation and exam preparation moving together.

One preparation. Both IPMATs covered.
